Colorado- I’m in the mountains this week, where I grew up. This is an image of my dad- one of my favorite things to do is fly with him, low and slow, over the landscape, in his bush plane- truly one of the best ways to see the world.

Nootka Island, BC for Tiny Atlas Quarterly Winter Solstice Issue

Check out the beautiful new issue of Tiny Atlas Quarterly-  amazing stories and imagery. I’m very excited to have my latest British Columbia adventure featured. Many thanks to Raph Bruhwiler for showing us such a good time, and Tatchu Lodge for the epic adventures and dreamy treehouse. Big props to all the people working hard to make Tiny Atlas Quarterly as amazing as it is, and all the people who supported the kickstarter campaign to make the printed issue happen.

There are lots of great up and coming, independent magazines around these days, and I’ve loved collaborating with Kinfolk, Anthology, and Tiny Atlas Quarterly.  This time around I did a feature for my friends at Weekend Almanac, co-started by the very talented Ali Ziegler, who is a creative director I’ve worked with on several editorial and cookbook projects. It’s fun to go from big, highly produced shoots to loose, intimate projects, and for this assignment, I got to stay in my neighborhood, which felt like paradise after being on the road so much.

Órale! Back to Mexico tonight! Here are some images from my last trip there a few months ago with  Story Worldwide for a feature on Huatulco, in Southern Oaxaca state. I’ve spent a ton of time in Mexico, including driving through Mexico for 6 months in a WV van a few years ago, but I hadn’t been to this amazing stretch of coastline before. Great food, perfect surf, lovely people, not overtaken by condos and hotels.

Happy long weekend! Here is some new work for Joie de Vivre hotels- we had the best week in Oahu shooting this! Many thanks to my great crew and my friend Mike McHale of Hawaii Prop Rentals for the perfect Vespa.

Seattle- back from a lovely trip to Seattle for GQ magazine (under wraps for a while). Here are some images from a Seattle shoot last year- a coffee centric journey from Seattle to Portland for Japan’s Air Nippon.

Gas Works Park- Seattle.
After shooting in Hawaii and then heading straight to a job in Mexico, I finally spent a much needed week at home. Now, off to Seattle, one of my favorite cities.

I’ve been on the road for the last month for Hyatt Resorts, with a few editorial travel jobs in the mix- Lake Tahoe, Colorado, Mendocino, right now the Gulf Coast of Florida, next week New York. I’ll stop in San Francisco for quick visit with my favorite crew- my husband and my dog, then I’m off to Oahu for a lifestyle shoot, and then staight to Tulum, Mexico via a hellaciously indirect flight. It’s everything you would imagine- fun, exhausting, stimulating to be in such different places, lovely to go from snowstorms to tropical waters, interesting to get a glimpse of such different communities and landscapes. Give me a shout if you want to meet me in NY next week, I’m taking meetings. Check out my Instagram feed for more.

Here is a sunny image from California to welcome spring, though I’m working in Colorado this week and  hoping for snow!

MA’O Organic Farm in this month’s Sunset magazine. I love this place and admire all the great work they do. I’m working in Oahu again next month and can’t wait to visit the farm.
